Applicants must be a minimum of 21 yrs. old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid Iowa Driver’s License with good driving record, be an Iowa resident, and successfully pass a background check and post-offer, pre-employment Police Officer physical and drug screen. The FY25 annualized starting pay will be $66,553, but certified candidates will begin at Step 2 ($73,126) with the potential to start up to Step 5 ($86,311) based on the number of completed years of certified experience and if Firefighter I certified.
